Every year, the olive harvest is an exciting moment and the culmination of the efforts from the previous year to produce the finest extra virgin olive oil that our region has to offer. During the analysis of the extra virgin olive oil, we also analyzed the leaves from the olive trees and discovered that the olives used for producing Ariston extra virgin olive oil were a cross between Koroneiki and Myrtolia olive varieties, indicating the identification of the produced extra virgin olive oil with the origin fields.
Why is this olive oil unique?
The unique combination of Koroneiki and Myrtilelia olives imparts a wide range of aromas to the Extra Virgin Olive Oil produced from these olives. The Koroneiki olives are known to yield aromas reminiscent of freshly cut grass, artichokes, and various herbs, while the Myrtilelia olives provide aromas of herbs and spices. The harmonious combination of aromas is the hallmark of the EVOO produced from these olives, giving a distinct character to the oil.
